5 bedtime steps for successful rest

  1. Skincare

  • After your normal skincare routine (I will post mine soon) , it’s so important to moisturize! Getting in bed feeling rejuvenated is the best. Here are the products I use after my skincare; Body - Honey Serum, Face- YTP Dream Mask, Lips - Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask.

2. Wind Down

  • Apple has this awesome feature where you can select a bed time and a wake up time! All you have to do is adjust your settings to how many hours of sleep you want and when you need to get up and it will do the rest for you! I like it because it lets me know when I need to start winding down and getting ready for bed so I can get my proper amount of shut eye!

3. Get Cozy

  • Whether your sleepwear is a matching set or your birthday suit, this is when I like to get into bed and get comfortable! I sleep laying on my back with a pillow under my knees for support, at this step I get the decorative pillows off the bed and get it set up for sleep. I also turn on my 2 fans to set the mood for some relaxation!

4. Jesus time

  • Nighttime has never been my favorite time because it’s when I have the most time to think about my worries, fears, and more. Well, it doesn’t have to be like that!! I start my “Jesus time” by reading either my devotion from the Daily Grace Co. or opening up my bible and reading whatever passage I am on (I’m on the Psalms right now and it is one of my favorite chapters!!). After that, I say my Goodnight to God prayer which is where I just thank Him for all He did for me throughout the day, just talk with Him, and I always ask Jesus to help bring my body and my mind rest. He delivers every single time. This just eases my mind and really helps me to relax. I try to pray often throughout the day but sometimes life is busy and it is always a good feeling to catch up with God at the end of the day.

5. Sleep Mask On

  • It might seem odd to make an entire step dedicated to putting on your sleep mask BUT the Kitsch Pillow Sleep Mask is such a game changer. Weird enough, I have a phobia of something crawling in my ear while I am asleep and I also prefer to sleep in total darkness, this eye mask does it ALL. It is made of satin, covers your ears, and of-course eyes, it is so soft and it stays on all night without being too tight. I will have links with pictures below! Once I put on my eye mask it is truly sleepy time!!
