Where was I going?
I took a trip to a part of Northern Arizona! I went to see my Granny and spend some time with her before I start my new job. It was such a blast!! I flew Southwest (always) and on the way there I went from Birmingham to Houston to Las Vegas.
WHY SOUTHWEST AIRLINES?
Well, I like to call Southwest the Chick Fil A of airlines. Always good service. They have never let me down! If I have to change flights, it has never been a problem and I feel totally safe flying with them. 5 stars, 10/10.
WHat did I wear?
I wore a matching set! I will upload a picture of me in it! I cannot find it anywhere online or else I would totally link it! It is a set (sold separately) with a cropped brown rough edge sweatshirt and then the shorts are like sweatpants but cut off to be shorts. They were SO comfy and cute!! There are some cute ones on Amazon too!
Top five travel must haves?
Starbucks (Iced Dirty Chai Latte w/ Oatmilk)
Sleep Mask (Kitsch brand pillow mask)
Eyedrops (My contacts get SO dry when traveling)
A good book (This trip it was The Summer I Turned Pretty)
Small snack (Kind bars are my fav!)
Who was I going to see?
None other than my Granny! Her home is always so special in my heart. It is where I went to visit my Dad every summer for as long as I can remember! Even though he is not there anymore, it will always feel like home there.
If you know me, you know my Granny hung the moon! She is ofcourse not perfect BUT she is pretty close to me! She is super strong, respected, compassionate, humble, and she has the sweetest heart! One of my favorite things about her is the way she makes every individual feel special and unique. Between my Mom, Granny, and the other female role models in my life, I am so blessed!
What was my favorite part?
It had to be eating Elk Tacos (the best thing in the world) or playing the Game of Life with everyone! Maybe I will make another blog post about how the famous elk tacos are made! They are truly mouth watering.
